frequently asked questions

What days should I plan to be in Lake Como?

We would recommend planning to be in Lake Como at minimum from August 3rd to August 7th. This will give you a day to get settled in and explore the area before the Welcome Event on August 4th and Wedding on August 5th.

We are planning on being in Lake Como from August 1st-8th and are so excited to spend time with you all la dolce vita style.

How do we get to and from the events?

For both the Welcome Event and the Wedding, we will have boat transportation arranged for guests staying in either Bellagio or Varenna, both to and from the event. Lake Como is quite large and can be difficult to navigate, therefore we recommend that you book accommodations walking distance from the ferry ports in either of those two towns. Please check our Travel & Stay page for more details.

Should I stay in Varenna or Bellagio?

Varenna and Bellagio, two picturesque towns nestled along the shores of  Lake Como, each offer a distinct experience for travelers. Varenna exudes a tranquil and rustic charm, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful getaway. Its smaller size and quieter ambiance create an intimate setting, perfect for leisurely strolls along the scenic waterfront and a less touristy experience.

In contrast, Bellagio is renowned for its lively atmosphere, upscale appeal, and bustling streets filled with shops, restaurants, and bars. It caters to travelers seeking a more vibrant and luxurious experience.

In summary, if you're looking for a quieter, more laid-back experience, Varenna may be your choice. On the other hand, if you prefer a livelier atmosphere with more amenities and dining options, Bellagio might be the better fit. Both towns are beautiful and offer access to the stunning natural beauty of Lake Como, so you can't really go wrong with either choice.

Will the events be outdoors?

Yes, all events will be outdoors, weather permitting. The weather in Lake Como in August is typically between 60 - 85 degrees Fahrenheit, so please dress accordingly.

is there a dress code for the events?

Welcome Party: Yes, we will be having an Indian themed event. Please see the â€‹Attire page for inspiration!

Wedding Day: YES! We want our guests to dress to impress! We require all guests to be in formal attire, black tie optional. Women should be in gowns, and men in suits or tuxedos. No jeans or short dresses please!

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests that are formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids invited?

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding events as adult-only events.
